Winery Review: Brilliant clear yellow. Fruit driven with lovely aromas of white fruits (peach, pineapple, carambola), as well as delicate flinty notes. Good balance between fruit and flinty. A nice and refreshing finish.
Wine Folly: pg 98 "Chenin Blanc" - This is a Vouvray which is named as a wine producing region for this grape. Before even reading this section I was able to pick out the pear, honey, and peach notes from this wine. Fit quite well with the books description.
Personal Review: On the sweeter side for a Vouvray. Very prominent peach note right at the beginning. The first things you notice are peach, pear and honey, they then give way to a bit of citrus in the mix, and some herbal perhaps dandelion or blossom of some sort. Very pleasant and drinkable. I had it with some havarti cheese and the sweetness and floral notes worked quite well with the rich cheese. 3.9/5
